This page explains what data Lostland (operated by the owner of lostland.co.uk) collects, why, and what your rights are under UK GDPR.
Who we are
Lostland is an independent travel guide and booking-search website based in the United Kingdom. For any privacy queries, contact hello@lostland.co.uk.
What we collect
- Search inputs. When you use our search tool we send your query (e.g. "Lisbon", dates, traveller count) to our affiliate partners such as Booking.com, Skyscanner and Expedia. We do not store it.
- Analytics. We may use privacy-friendly analytics (e.g. Plausible or Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation) to understand which pages are read. This data is aggregated and does not identify you.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address for the sole purpose of sending the newsletter.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies — see our cookies policy for details. Affiliate partners may set their own cookies once you click a "Book" or "Search" link and land on their site.
Sharing your data
We do not sell your data. We share search inputs only with the affiliate partner you've chosen to search, and analytics data only with the analytics provider we've named above.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk. Email hello@lostland.co.uk for any of these.
Changes
We'll update the "last updated" date above when we make changes to this policy. Material changes will be flagged at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
