Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: 2 July 2026
Lostland is reader-supported. When you book a hotel or flight through a link on this site, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you.
Who pays us
We participate in affiliate programmes operated by Booking.com (Booking Holdings), Skyscanner, Expedia Group, and similar travel partners. When you click a link on Lostland and complete a qualifying booking with one of those partners, they pay us a percentage of their margin. You pay the same price you would have paid going to them direct.
How this affects our writing
It doesn't. We recommend destinations and accommodation styles based on our own opinions and research. We do not accept payment to feature a destination, a hotel, or a guide — and we will not pretend a place is good when it isn't.
How to spot an affiliate link
Every outbound booking link on Lostland goes to a major travel partner (Booking.com, Skyscanner, Expedia). You can assume any "Search hotels", "Find flights", or "Check prices" link is an affiliate link. We also mark them with rel="sponsored" for transparency to search engines.
UK ASA compliance
This disclosure is published in line with the UK Advertising Standards Authority's guidance on affiliate marketing and the CMA's "Hidden Ads" guidance. If anything on the site looks like an undisclosed ad, please email hello@lostland.co.uk and we'll fix it.
